Description: Magnet Sites are intended to serve multiple users and operators at a predetermined location. These sites are selected by Grantees based on their potential to attract multiple operators and users, and typically include industrial parks, port facilities, airports, and warehouses.Companies located in an approved FTZ magnet site, do not require action to be taken by the FTZ Board staff for any additional FTZ designation and or approvals. Magnet sites are by design intended for multiple companies to occupy and use FTZ procedures. The companies located within magnet sites must activate the site with Customs and Border Protection (CBP).A company located within an approved magnet site, does not need to request usage-driven designation through an ASF minor boundary modification, since FTZ designation is in place. The Grantee concurs /requests FTZ activation on behalf of the company, but further FTZ designation is not needed from the FTZ Board staff. The sites listed are available for FTZ activities.
