   "description": "Community Parking Districts (CPD) are established by the San Diego City Council and provide a mechanism for communities to develop and implement neighborhood-specific strategies to meet their specific needs and address parking impacts. Council Policy 100-18 specifies the procedures for establishing and managing a CPD.CPDs are responsible for developing and implementing an annual plan and budget that support comprehensive parking management within the district. Examples of CPD initiatives include:Parking Supply Management \u2013 Valet parking, creation of on-street or off-street spaces, shared parking arrangements and time limit or metered parking to increase turnover.Parking and Curb Evaluations \u2013 Parking evaluations, reconfiguration of existing on-street parking, visitor and employee parking programs, reducing red curbs and removal of abandoned driveways.Neighborhood Mobility Initiatives \u2013 Community shuttles, wayfinding signage, pedestrian improvements, bike parking, enhanced crossings and other mobility improvements.Each CPD has a designated advisory board responsible for making recommendations to the City on parking-related matters, and as applicable, for developing plans and expending allocated revenue in accordance with CP 100-18.",
