The "GRID_2X2" feature service is an indexing grid with a 2000 x 2000-foot scale, based on the Lambert coordinate system. It was developed for the city of San Diego, DSD (Development Service Department) to enable users to identify and report map locations of different objects.
<DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"><DIV><DIV><P><SPAN>Lambert Conformal Conic is a projection used within the State Plane Coordinate System (SPC) by the city of San Diego since beginning of 1960. This conformal projection accurately preserves the shapes and local angles of small areas, making it ideal for applications requiring precise shape representation. Its minimal east-west distortion is particularly advantageous for regions with significant east-west expanse. This feature class is an indexing grid with a 2000 x 2000-foot scale for the Lambert Conformal Conic system.</SPAN></P></DIV></DIV></DIV>
